For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
At KCC, we often remind ourselves of Jesus' words that it truly is better to give than to receive- recognizing that service is a gift not only to others; but even more so, a gift to yourself. There are many ways you can serve and share the love of Christ in with our church ohana and our local community.
Servant Teams
Sunday School | AWANA | V.B.S.
Annually, we have over 100 volunteers in our KCC Kids ministry. If you are interested in volunteering in the Sunday school program on a rotation basis, or with our Wednesday night AWANA program, please let us know!
Youth Leader | Group Host | Hui (Small Group) Leader | Provide Meals
Our youth team facilitates Bible discussion groups, hosts small groups, provides meals, and grows in inter-generational relationship with our 7 - 12 grade students. If you're interested in joining this team, let us know!
Vocal | Instruments | Tech
Over fifty people a year volunteer on our worship and tech teams, helping out on a rotation basis. Pastor Josh does a great job at equipping and enabling people to use their gifts to lead our congregation in worship. From singers, to the band, to the tech team, there is a place for you!
Greeters | Refreshments | Ushers
Our weekend worship service is often people's first impression of our church family and we desire to make everyone feel welcome so they know that they belong. To do this, we have a team to welcome visitors at the front door.
Set up & Tear down | Chairs | Clean up
Our church campus is the main space our family meets to walk toward Jesus together. Our weekend services and midweek ministries happen because volunteers serve by setting up and taking down chairs, preparing communion elements, rolling out AWANA mats, disinfecting toys, moving tables, and so much more.
Minor Repairs | Moving | Yard Work
If you are able to help for small to large tasks, such as moving, packing, yard work, or minor repairs, this is a great team for you to showcase your God given gifts and skills.

VOLUNTEER FAQ
How do I join a service team and volunteer?
There are many ways to volunteer here at KCC. Click on one of the buttons above to connect with a service team leader and join the team when you're available.
Do I need a background check?
All of our children and youth ministry volunteers are background checked. The service team leader will ask you to fill out an easy form for permission for the background check to be performed. However, if you are volunteering in a non-children service team, there's no need for you to get a background check.
I want to serve in an area I don't see listed. What should I do?
That's great! That means that the Lord is opening up a new ministry service team. We recognize that God is moving in more ways than we can ever be aware of, and if He is leading you to serve in a new area, would you let us know? We would love to support, encourage, and champion you in this new service area. We know the outs and ins of organizing ministries and will join with you to lead this new team.
Do I receive any compensation for serving?
Absolutely! The eternal rewards are endless. As a church, we truly believe it is better to give than to receive. Volunteers do not receive financial compensation but do receive personal, relational, and spiritual rewards that are priceless.
